For some reason, my husband has tricked everyone (well really, only a select few, and 2 of them are under the age of 6) into calling him Superstar.
E is an all around amazing baby. We've been very blessed with his easygoing demeanor. My only complaint is how much he spits up! This means that poor E has to wear a bib 24/7! Now that E is active, his bib gets in the way and ends up getting turned around, making it look like he is wearing a cape.
When E was born, we joked about him being a little Superstar. However in his bib-turned-cape, I think he looks more like a Superbaby!

Erik's First Food
Today baby E had his first solid food- rice cereal! He had a little bowl for breakfast and another for dinner. Not sure how much of it he actually swallowed!

Erik's Baptism Weekend- Part 1
This past weekend, we welcomed Erik into the Christian faith. Mimmi and Opa came into town for a long weekend, we had wonderful friends and family come into town for Saturday night, and then lots of special people came celebrate Erik's baptism at church and for lunch on Sunday! It was such a fun and celebratory weekend. Instead of using words to tell you about it, I'd like to share with you in pictures.
So here's what happened Friday and Saturday....
Sunday coming soon! Shoutout to loyal FamHowell reader JCJM for keeping me accountable about updating this blog!

15 Weeks & Easter
I weighed Erik at 15 weeks-- 13 pounds, 12 ounces! He is starting to get so big. We had a busy, fun-filled week!

A trip to Memphis
We went up to Memphis for the weekend
because Frank had a godchild, Graham, who was christened Saturday evening. We
had a fun time in the city:
First, lunch!
Then, we took a trip the zoo! (We loved it so much we became members!)

Happy at the elephants!
He seemed ambivalent about the pandas...
The Christening
Saturday evening, we went to baby Graham's baptism at the Saturday evening celebration of Easter. I had never been to an Easter Saturday evening service-- it was absolutely beautiful. Frank went to college with Charles, Graham's dad, and both just had their first child in their 40s- who would have thought?!
toting the boys to church
Frank was so honored to be "The Godfather" to baby Graham. The service was absolutely beautiful and Graham was a little angel! It is so fun to have 2 boys that are the same age- Graham is 7 weeks older than Erik. Here are some photos of these buddies:

Being somewhat coerced to hold hands!
Easter Sunday
This was Erik's first Easter! We had a delicious Easter brunch in Memphis Sunday morning, then headed back home. In Tribbett, we got to see more of our friends!

Finally, I'll leave you with a video of baby E babbling from Easter! He is really starting to babble and it's so fun to talk to him! You can hear that we've all been a little sick-- poor E is also all stuffed up.
That is all for now from the Howells! We hope you had a great Easter holiday.

Sweet sounds
At 3 months, Erik has started really laughing. It is, in my unbiased opinion, the cutest thing! He's been able to smile and laugh once or twice for a while now, but he is just getting into the full chuckle. The more you laugh back at him, the harder he laughs in return. I can't think of many sweeter sounds than that of a child's pure joy. We got to spend some quality time with my husband's side of the family this weekend. My sister-in-law took this video of us playing below. Take a peak!
